Lighthouse Prime Services Announces Key New Hires

• Steven M. Simmons joins as Managing Director of Prime Services

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lighthouse Prime Services, a division of Lighthouse Financial Group, today announces that Steven M. Simmons, Garrett Nenner, and Lyndell Matteo have joined Lighthouse Prime Services.

Lighthouse Prime Services, headquartered in midtown Manhattan, offers a comprehensive prime brokerage platform including Technology Services, Institutional Trading and Capital Introduction for hedge fund managers.

Simmons brings nearly 20 years of institutional experience and will focus on capital introduction services. Most recently he was with Terra Nova Financial in Chicago where he was the Head of Prime Brokerage Services and was awarded Opal Financial Group’s Emerging Broker Year of the Award in both 2007 and 2008. Steve has been a frequent industry speaker on the topic of alternative methods for raising assets for smaller hedge funds and emerging managers. A graduate of Colgate University, he is a junior executive board member of the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and a founding member of the Midwest Hedge Fund Association.

Nenner has 20 years of institutional trading and trading technology experience, and managed a trading desk and quant portfolio at Millenium Partners hedge fund for seven years. Recently, he was a senior sales executive and engineer for Lehman Brothers / Townsend Analytics’ Real Tick Trading platform where he focused on product design and implementation. He has been a noted senior instructor at the Financial Times / New York Institute of Finance and has given numerous seminars on the topic of the securities markets and related technologies.

Matteo has spent the last 10 years working with Goldman Sachs as a Vice President with the Operations group involved extensively with the electronic trading platforms and has managed several teams responsible for options rebalancing, trade reconciliations and client technology implementation. Previously, at the American Stock Exchange, she was a Managing Director of Market Operations responsible for managing an automated trading service desk as well as floor operations. Lynn has been involved with numerous professional industry associations including the SIA and OCC.

These key additions follow the expansion of the Lighthouse Prime Team, which included recent hires Frank Derosa, Todd Weitzman, and Jonathan Cohen. Derosa was a Vice President of U.S. equity derivative sales for the National Bank of Canada where he helped develop and market non traditional leveraged vehicles for hedge funds; Weitzman was a Sr. Sales Director with Alaris where he focused on Prime Brokerage and Electronic Trading Sales; and Cohen was a Sr. Sales Director and Branch Manager with Grace Financial where he was a key sales figure.
