Prime Brokerage Veteran Joins Concept Capital As Managing Director and Head of Hedge Fund Service Sales

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Concept Capital, a leading institutional broker and total solutions provider for global investment managers, today announced prime brokerage veteran Rob Davis has joined Concept Capital as Managing Director and Head of Hedge Fund Service Sales for ConceptONE, the firm’s complete, outsourced Multi-Prime Service Platform for hedge fund managers.

In his new position, Mr. Davis will be responsible for sales and client services of Concept Capital’s Multi-Prime Service Platform ConceptONE. This strategic hire follows several key appointments the firm has made to increase its client service and product offerings. The firm plans to further expand its sales staff later this year.

Prior to joining Concept, Mr. Davis was Managing Director, in charge of Sales and Marketing at Merlin Securities. Previously, Mr. Davis was Chief Operating officer at SDS Capital Group, a Greenwich, Conn.-based hedge fund. Earlier, Mr. Davis was Managing Director and National Sales Manager at both Banc of America Prime Brokerage and Montgomery Securities Prime Brokerage Services.

Mr. Davis also is well known in the industry for his dedication to charitable endeavors. In 1998, Mr. Davis established Hedge Funds Care, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse.
