Yann Lalande Joins Conifer Securities as Director of Managed Accounts
Business Development Veteran to Drive Growth of Conifer’s Separately Managed Account Platform
Conifer Securities, a leading hedge fund service provider and prime broker, today announced that Yann Lalande has joined the firm as Director, Managed Accounts in the company’s Business Development Division. Mr. Lalande will focus primarily on supporting the growth of Conifer’s strategy of providing managed account platforms which has grown in importance as the hedge fund industry moves to offer more liquidity and transparency to asset owners. He will also work to grow Conifer’s prime brokerage business.
Mr. Lalande, age 36, comes to Conifer after nine years with Morgan Stanley where he was most recently Executive Director, Prime Brokerage Business Development. In this position he was responsible for developing the business plan for the Asset Owner platform. Prior to his business development responsibilities, Yann managed and trained a team of 20 documentation specialists focusing on hedge fund counterparty risk. Mr. Lalande began his career at Morgan Stanley in the Fixed Income Division, first as a repo financing negotiator and then as a lawyer negotiating master agreements. Mr. Lalande holds a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law. He also received a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in Montreal.
